INTRODUCTION:

This handsome boy was born June 28 and will be ready for the trip to his new home on August 23 - no earlier! State law requires it!

THE PARENTS:

Angel is a longhaired black & tan who typically has litters of only one or two pups; this time was no exception. She's a good little mother, however, and is nurturing this only son as if he were the apple of her eye - as he is!

Fabian is a highly-unusual dapple, in that his chocolate/isabella spots are set on a white background instead of light-brown. He also has two blue eyes, and the combination of his coloring makes him one of the most handsome dachshunds we've ever produced.

Both parents carry the gene which dilutes black to blue, and chocolate to isabella, so it's only natural that their son is a beautiful blue, since it takes the same gene from each parent to produce dilute pups.

The parents' photos are posted below their son's description.

THE PUPPY:
ANGEL & FABIAN'S PUP
PUPPY #1 (and only!) is a longhaired blue & tan who already looks as if he might grow to somewhere near his father's size -when a pup gets all the milk intended for a whole litter, it sometimes takes advantage of the feast and grows larger than it might if it had to share the milk with "competition." Angel is fully miniature in her size, but Fabian is pushing the upper limits of the mini range. If you aren't going to show or breed this pup, you won't need to worry - he's just bigger so there's more of him to love! This is going to be an utterly handsome dachshund, and the coat he'll have will be incredible - Fabian's is! Some dilutes have skimpy coats, but not the ones in this clan - they're always in "show coat" - thick, lush, soft as thistle-down, and long as a winter night. Your feet will never get cold with this blue boy curled around them! You can enjoy this wondrous furry foot-warmer for only $600, with AKC registration for another $50, in case you wish to show or breed him.

MOTHER:

Angel isn't one of our smallest, nor our largest, dachshunds - she's quite average in that regard. Where she shines is in being the best and prettiest mama she can possibly be, and she's very good at that.
FATHER:

Fabian is one of three brothers we produced and kept, all in shades of chocolate, all incredibly handsome, and all as different from the others as it's possible for littermates to be. You'll be seeing more of these guys!
Elvis, smooth chocolate dapple brother; one partially-blue eye.
Wolfman Jack, longhair chocolate & tan patchwork dapple with white, and one blue eye.
