INTRODUCTION:
These EXCEPTIONALLY TINY pups were born November 19, 2011 and will be ready to take home on January 14, 2012. The Germans call super-small dachshunds "kaninchenteckel," or "rabbit dachshunds," because they're small enough to go down a rabbit-hole. We call them "pocket rockets" - they stay in the 6-7 lb range all their lives, unless they get too fat! They make terrific companions, and are just as hardy and healthy as our bigger dogs. If your heart is set on having a super-mini dachshund, better grab one of these - we sure didn't expect to get this pair from these parents, and don't know when we'll have any more.
THE PARENTS:
Blue Belle is a longhaired "patchwork" blue & tan dapple with luxuriously thick, soft fur - she laughs at the cold. People ask about caring for a longhaired doxie, and we have to say, this dog is NO problem. Once a week brushing, if that, is all it takes to keep her in top shape.
Blue is a longhaired blue & tan, on the small side, well within the miniature range. We use him to produce small puppies, and he outdid himself this time! We are certain these two pups of his will stay extremely small, too.

Blue Belle is a rare "patchwork" dapple, with large blurred blocks of muted color (and white!) instead of lighter or darker splotches on a solid background color. Dappling produces unique dogs - no two are ever exactly identical, although we've had some that were awfully similar. We're getting some gorgeous and highly unusual dappled and plain pups from Blue Belle and her relatives - she's a grand-daughter of Cash! Isn't it time you brought home a little Cash?! ;-)

This is Blue, our "old reliable" blue & tan longhair sire that we like to use with small girls and especially with the dilute-color girls -- those that are cream, isabella or blue - because all of their pups will then be dilutes. Cream is dilute-red; isabella (also called fawn) is dilute-chocolate; blue is dilute-black. To get a dilute litter takes one gene from each parent: both parents must either CARRY or BE dilute. Dachshund genetics are FUN!

PUPPY #1 is a lovely itty-bitty blue & tan girl, colored like her daddy, but with all the gracious demeanor and glorious coat of her beautiful mother. Beauty is far more than skin-deep on our Cash-clan dogs - they're blessed with wonderfully loving personalities and outgoing, friendly manners. "Impressive" can't even begin to describe them - they shine. This forever-baby0sized girl needs a family or a special someone who will keep her shining for the rest of her life - she's a premium princess pup! She's priced at $650 with her AKC registration, or $600 without it.
PUPPY #2 is a strikingly small and amazingly beautiful blue & tan dapple, also a lush longhair who is small enough to go anywhere - right in your pocket for now, or tucked inside your jacket with you when he reaches adulthood. Most people have seen teacup poodles, chihuahuas and Yorkies, but now you can have a really rare teacup-sized dachshund! As I said above, it's very hard to find a genuine super-mini kaninchenteckel, so grab one of these pups today. Take home this boy for $600, or $650 with papers.
This is Blue Belle's spectacular grandfather, Cash, who passes on his splendid "show coat", amazing dilute color and reverse-dappling, blue in the eyes, and uniquely regal personality to his progeny. His children, grandchildren and all the ensuing generations have been some of the most beautiful dachshunds we've ever produced. These are our traffic-stopper, jaw-dropper dogs.
While many of his "down-line" are a bit larger than true miniature, breeding the girls to smaller sires like Blue (and Ace and Max, etc.) will usually bring pup size down closer to the desired 11-lb range - or smaller. They are just so very beautiful, nobody seems to mind that most are bigger than they should be!
And "the look" is enhanced by Cash's amazing part-blue eyes, which make him appear to be gazing at something over your right shoulder. He is a beauty, and anyone who has spent any time on our website can always pick him out of the pack when they come to visit - he's the favorite!
