MOTHER:
Blue Dove is a happy blue & tan longhair born in June of 2009 - this is only her second litter. Her first pups were beautiful, but nothing like this bunch! We hope to see a lot more gorgeous babies from Blue Dove.

FATHER:
Sergio is a handsome, champion-pedigreed English cream who comes to the mountains to rest and relax with us once in a while, but we put him to work making puppies! Funny thing is, he doesn't seem to resent his working vacations at all - in fact, he seems to really enjoy it. He's so talented, he doesn't even get blisters, which is an awfully good thing!

INTRODUCTION:
This bevy of red beauties was born October 21, 2011 and have been ready for their new families to take them home since December 16th. These girls are all longhairs, all red, and all carry the dilute genes for blue and cream, so if they're bred to the right dilute sires, they could conceivably produce those colors, but it depends on how the chromosomes land - they don't always do as expected! Being reds, these girls could also lighten toward cream, or go a darker red, as they age - only time will tell. Puppy personalities don't really start to show until the pups are at least 5 weeks old, usually. After they leave our home to go to yours, and YOU have the most influence over what and who they become, socialize them well (exposing them to lots of other people outside your family), and treat them with love and respect, just as we do, and they will be happy, funny, super-affectionate dogs all their lives.
PARENTS:
Mother is Blue Dove, a longhaired blue & tan daughter of Spot and Cash (our "king of the kennel"), so she's definitely contributing some of our premier genetics to these pups. She's also a full sister to Blue Belle.
Father is Sergio, a longhaired English cream from champion bloodlines, who has been producing some splendid babies for us.

PUPPY #2 WAS $600, or $650 with AKC - now she's GONE HOME!!! Her new mama fell in love, and she fell in love right back!
This is our illustrious Cash, the King of the Kennel - isn't he glorious?! THIS is the heritage behind Blue Dove, which her daughters have inherited... even though they've inherited Sergio's red color. (Red dachshunds may continue to change color for a year or more - they're all different in that regard - but these two girls might decide to go lighter-red.... or not.)
This red-haired beauty is what you can expect your Blue Dove & Sergio daughter to look like when she grows up and has her adult coat! Our dachshunds are more than just pretty faces - they have wonderful manners and loving, playful dispositions to go along with their lush fur coats. In fact, speaking of fur coats, why beg for mink, when you can have dog-hair that looks this good???
