BUTTERCUP & SERGIO'S PUPS
Flickennel - Dachshunds with ALTITUDE!
INTRODUCTION:
These adorable English cream boys were born October 9 and will be old enough to go home on December 4, 2011, in plenty of time before Christmas to get them used to their new families before all the holiday hubbub.
THE PARENTS:
Buttercup is a shaded English cream with a splendid, friendly disposition, and what a good mama she is! She keeps her babies clean and well fed, and we expect them to be just as loving and happy as she is.
Sergio is a handsome English cream who came to visit our facility a couple months ago, leaving behind enough 'seeds' to plant a terrific crop of beautiful babies - this was only the first of several really outstanding litters he fathered for us. We are exercising our Breeder's Right to Pick of the Litter, and keeping Puppy #3 to continue in his daddy's pawprints, leaving his mark on what we hope will be many lovely pups in the future.
The parents' photos are depicted below their babies' descriptions.
REMEMBER: YOUR DEPOSIT OR PAYMENT IN FULL HOLDS YOUR PUP,
OTHERWISE, "IF YOU SNOOZE, YOU LOSE!"
THE PUPPIES:
PUPPY #2 is lighter-colored than the first pup, and he will probably continue to lighten to a lustrous golden cream with just a very slight bit of black shading on his thick, super-soft fur coat. English cream dachshunds also come with a wonderful temperament, as if they know they're royalty, so you will be astounded by yours - these aren't "run of the mill" dogs, by any means! This handsome show-prospect pup is being offered at $600, with AKC papers for $50 more.
PUPPY #3 is such a handsome little guy and also the smallest in the litter, we have decided to keep him for our own. We're starting to build a nice collection of top-quality English heritage dogs - creams, red, cream brindle, black & tan, black & cream - and we're selecting the genetics to be able to produce chocolate & cream by next year! We're also experimenting with some of our other premier bloodlines, blending the dilute blue and isabella with English cream to see what marvelous new shades we come up with. Who knows - maybe we'll have English blues!!! We can dream, and this blue-ribbon lad is going to help us achieve our dreams!

MOTHER:
Buttercup is such a happy girl, bubbling over with joy and love - she hasn't met anyone she doesn't like, that WE know of, anyway! We are looking forward to breeding her to our clear-cream male, RJ, to see if we can get more clear-cream (unshaded) pups in the future.
FATHER:
Sergio is "pretty as a picture," a handsome specimen of an English cream male. His pedigree, like all good Englishmen, is impeccable, filled with Champions both here and "across the pond." We are eagerly looking forward to raising his son, shown above, and others of his fantastic offspring.

PUPPY #1 is very much a "shaded" cream, which means he will have more black overlay on his cream coat than his brothers will. They might have some on their ears, and perhaps elsewhere on their bodies, but this guy is going to have it pretty much everywhere - at least we think so! All the different forms of red-colored dachshunds will change hue somewhat as they get older, going lighter or darker, or having dapple spots appear or disappear or change shape.... English creams generally start out life being much darker than they wind up, so this fellow might surprise us. Whichever he does, we're asking $600 for the privilege of watching him change, or $650 if you'd like him AKC-registered, too, so you can take him on the dog-show circuit - he looks like a winner to us!
KIMBERLY G. PICKED THIS BOY FOR HER NEW MAIN SQUEEZE! (Well, 4-legged, anyway!)
