INTRODUCTION:
This litter of pups was born December 19, 2011, and will be ready to leave for their new homes on February 13, 2012 - no earlier. We have to abide by Colorado State regulations, and cannot let a puppy go home before they're a full 8 weeks old.
We are making this our Featured Litter for a special sale - on this litter only! No registration papers will be issued on these pups: they are for companion dogs only, not as candidates for breeding or showing. If you want registered show dogs or registered breeders, please select from another litter - we have lots available, and more coming!
That being said, these are perfect pups - we just decided to see how a Featured Litter at reduced prices and no registration would go! (Most of our customers don't ask for papers anyway.) So let's see what we have here!
MOTHER:
Dash is a daughter of Diva and Cash, so she comes from excellent bloodlines. She's a smooth blue & tan, and this is her very first litter.
FATHER:
Luke is one of our English-line dogs, a longhaired red with black trim - a really handsome gentleman. Both Luke and Dash are pretty good-sized dogs, so we suspect that their pups will end up on the larger end of "miniature," if they don't leak over into the "tweenie" range, between mini and standard. Officially, miniature tops out at 11 lbs, while standards are 16 to 32 lbs, leaving that in-between zone of 12-15 lbs, which is semi-officially referred to as "small standard."

THE PUPPIES:
PUPPY #1 is the only red jellybean in this wagon-load of black licorice! She is a cutie, nestled among all the black & tans. What a perfect Valentine - ready to give your sweet-heart, just in time for the big day! We have her priced at $400.
PUPPY #2 is the black & tan counterpart to Puppy #1 - the only girl among the black pups. If you like the look of "the little black dress," here's your girl - she's classy! She's also priced at $400.
PUPPY #3 is the first of the boys. Black & tan is about the most elegant of the dachshund colors, no matter what the coat type is, so if sheer elegance is what you're after, you have three handsome choices among the boys. They are each priced at $300.
PUPPY #4 is slightly different than his brothers in that he's sort of an "off-black," but it's hard to pin down which direction his "offness" takes - most likely toward the BLUE, since, genetically speaking, they are very close. Suffice to say that he's not quite pure-black. Dash contributes a dilute gene to the pool these guys came from, so that may have something to do with his coloring.
PUPPY #5 is also black & tan - but deep, dark, pure black, with those nice bright-tan points. Being Cash's grandsons, these guys may have his charming sense of humor, as well as his dignified manner - you're going to love your pup from this litter!

Here is Dash, our pretty blue & tan smooth daughter of Diva and Cash. Diva recently retired to her forever home, but Cash is still here and going strong, and now their daughter is getting started in the maternity ward. Looks like she's going to be a keeper!

Luke is a big, beautiful ball o' red fur! He makes beautiful puppies, too, and we're glad he came to live with us. Not everybody can be an English cream - and the English reds are just as lovely in their own way. The classic conformation, luxurious coat and wonderful calm demeanor, all contribute to the allure of this class of dachshunds. These are the royalty of the breed, to put it simply.
