FlicKennel - Dachshunds with ALTITUDE!

This litter is going to be extra-special! Wirehairs are pretty neat to begin with, but when you put two SOFT wirehairs together, you're most likely going to have gorgeously-soft babies. Maggie is a wheaten soft-wire, a wonderful ball of pale spun-gold fluff when her hair is long (we trimmed it immediately prior to her puppies' birth). Toby (Mr. Tobias) has lovely soft chocolate & tan-dappled hair with a creamy-whitish patch on his head and another down his throat and chest. When he comes in from playing in the snow, his wet hair is curly, not straight like our other wires! We think he's adorably cute with his little "pompadour pouf," but he also has a boatload of champions in his pedigree - 29 in five generations - this boy's a winner ALL around!

These prize babies were born January 24, 2008 and will be ready for their new home-comings on March 20.

If you're into showing dachshunds, you'll be as excited to watch these little ones grow up as we are! We'd sure like to place them with folks who will maximize their potential - they'll make tremendous family pets, but they should also be amazing in a show-ring.

This is a red wirehair male, loaded with pizazz - just look at those black-tipped ears! With white on his chest and toes, he carries for piebald, which is an absolutely WOW look in wirehairs! He isn't piebald himself, but could turn out to be wheaten-gold like Mom - red doxies ALWAYS change somewhat as they grow up. Wink

This little boy is chocolate & tan dapple, which means he may have green eyes, a common trait of chocolate dachshunds - cool, huh! This has been a neat litter to watch develop, and they're finally starting to get fuzzy - not as FUZZY as #5 (whom we call Brillo!), but they're all getting their wire coats. Cool

The only "silver" dapple in the litter, this black & tan wirehaired boy is quite the hunk, solid as a rock and cute as a bug's ear.

Last, but certainly not least, this unique wheaten dapple boy has really caught our eye! He's quite a bit larger than his litter-mates and has light dappling on a darker background, except on his ears, which have dark spotting on the lighter gold. His wire coat is much longer than his siblings', now getting softer, and turning from its original red to rich wheaten gold, except on his muzzle, which is still a soft orange! He's always the first one to meet us at the door, friendly and ready to play or cuddle.Laughing

Apparently he'll be a short-haired wirehair - they're extra-nice - no matting of the fur! Available either with full AKC registration, or as a companion without papers. This is the only puppy left in this litter - wires just FLY out the door around here! Grab him quick!!! Laughing
